《古文观止》，是清人吴楚才、吴调侯叔侄两人选编和注释的一部文言散文选集，编选此书的目的是“正蒙养而裨后学”，作为家塾训蒙读本，也是清以来最流行的散文选本之一。古文观止成书于清康熙三十四年（1695年），付印问世以来，流传甚广，雅俗共赏，影响非常广泛。书中选编了上启东周下至明代的二百二十二篇散文作品，其中绝大多数为古文，个别为骈文中的经典作品，作品题材涉及史传、策论、游记、书信、笔记等，由于古文观止入选作品题材广泛、代表性强、语言简洁易明，篇幅短小精髓，言辞优美，非常适合初涉文言文的儿童，因而一经出版便非常流行，成为文言文教学的经典教材，至今在大中华地区中学文言文教材中，仍有很多篇章由此书辑录。
